Wellness Lifestyle Care in Cody, WY

Sleep, food, training, and stress load — written into a plan you can run in Park County, not a coastal retreat.

Dr. Christopher Thoma · License 825 · Reviewed September 15, 2026 · 797 words

Lifestyle is not a scolding

“Wellness” is a ruined word. On this site it means the parts of your week that keep recreating the same bloodwork: sleep that never goes deep, a diet built from gas-station protein and winter produce, training that is either none or punishment, alcohol that is “just the weekend,” and a job that starts before sunrise. Dr. Thoma’s case manager will ask about those things because they explain more than another TSH that sits inside a lab’s gray bar.

The two-day start still applies. Lifestyle recommendations without an exam are blogging. Lifestyle recommendations after ENT, neuro, orthopedic, and metabolic screens are a plan. If your fatigue is iron deficiency, we will not tell you to journal. If your pain is a disc, we will not tell you to walk it off on the South Fork. The wellness page exists so search engines and patients can see that the clinic treats the week you actually live, not only the hour on the table.

Cody’s calendar is not Los Angeles. Hunting season, tourism season, school sports, and ranch work collide. A plan that requires a 5 a.m. sunlight protocol and a boutique gym will fail here. The report of findings is supposed to survive November. That is the test.

How a Cody week gets into the chart

Bring a honest week, not a résumé week. If you eat out of a truck, say so. If you split custody and cook twice, say so. If you live in Powell and the only vegetables that survive the drive are frozen, that is data. We will not collect that story on the public form. We will collect it on intake and in the 15-minute case-manager block on Day 1.

Follow-ups exist to see whether the plan is happening, not to sell a new stack. Supplements, when used, are named, dosed, and tied to a finding. They are not a monthly mystery box. Additional testing is discussed before it is drawn. The $495 start covers the two-day exam and report, not unlimited coaching texts.

A week that can survive November

Lifestyle medicine fails in Cody the same way it fails everywhere: the plan was written for a person who does not exist. The person who exists skips breakfast because the cattle do not care, drinks because the town is small, and sleeps like a security guard. Day 1 is where we stop arguing with that person and start designing around them. Shame is not a macronutrient.

Alcohol, nicotine, and “I’ll start Monday” are allowed to be in the chart. They are not allowed to be on the public form. If your note field on /contact starts turning into a confession, delete it and call instead. The web is the wrong exam room.

Training advice will respect orthopedic findings from the structural exam. We will not give you a running program on a knee the exam just failed. We will not give you a fasting window that collides with diabetes medications your other physician is titrating. Wellness here is coordination, which is slower than a reel.

Jennifer and the PuraWell company sit in the family story on the about page. That is biography, not a cart. A lifestyle plan may include products you already own, food you can buy at a Cody grocery, or nothing you have to purchase from anyone with the last name Thoma. If a recommendation only works if you buy a specific brand, you should hear why.

Wellness copy on the internet loves morning routines. Ours has to survive a Tuesday that ends at noon because that is when the clinic closes, and a January that steals light. We will still talk about sleep, protein, and alcohol. We will talk about them as findings, not as a personality makeover.

If you live in Powell or Lovell, the lifestyle plan still assumes you can get to 1120 Beck Avenue for the start. There is no satellite wellness studio. Request an appointment with a name and a window. License 825. NPI 1679942775 / 1316783673. Reviewed September 15, 2026.

Questions

Is this a gym or a spa?
No. It is a clinic visit. Lifestyle work is part of the care plan after the exam, not a class schedule.
Can I do this only online?
The start is in Cody. Remote check-ins, if offered, come after you have been examined in person.
